I've been producing digital video content, primarily on YouTube, since 2008 when a high school football clip of mine went viral and got 5 million views. Today I serve as the Managing Editor and Producer for Doctor Mike, board-certified family medical physician and social media influencer with an audience of over 17 million followers, including 7.5 million subscribers. I'm responsible for a countless number of things, from conceiving of original videos/refillable YouTube series, to project managing every single video we put out, to designing the title and thumbnails of everything that goes live. I wear all the hats, spin all the plates, and juggle all the balls.
I'm a director for the stage and screen with a unique passion and skillset for developing works of applicable improvisation. I directed the NYTVF Official Selection pilot "Framed". I've direct the podcast "Improv Nerd with Jimmy Carrane". I was the Program Director of The iO Comedy Network and currently serve as the Creative Director of Video for CSz Worldwide. I produce the 24 Hour Sketch Comedy Competition at The Second City. I received by BA in TV: Internet and Mobile Media from Columbia College of Chicago in 2016.
I'm an comedian with years of training and experience in both short and long form improvisation. I've toured the country performing with ComedySportz since 2012, have graduated from The Second City Comedy Studies Program and iO Chicago Training Program. For 2.5 years I performed across Chicago with LL Cool Beans, the all-time winningest team in the history of The iO Cagematch.
I wrote over 6000 jokes during my 5 years running Lamestream Media, YouTube's longest-running satirical news program. I was also fortunate enough to publish over 50 stories in the satirical women's magazine, Reductress. I've written 3 original sketch revues, "Forever Alone" and "Clash" with The Roughhouse in San Jose, and "Shia Labuffalo Chicken" at The Second City.
